This is just a happy little note to say that FWR will be at AWP in February 2009; this year, the conference is in Chicago. We won’t have a table of our own or a listing in the program, but we will be operating in guerrilla-style from a corner of the Michigan MFA table, spreading the Fictional Word with mugs and T-shirts and business cards (and possibly a working laptop). I’ll be actively looking to make publisher contacts, to recruit writer-reviewers, to meet authors, and to boost readership. If you’re going to be at the conference, let me know if you want to volunteer a few hours of booth time or help get business cards into good hands. Updates to come…

i’ll be there for work, but i’d love to give some time if i can get away with it. i’m looking forward to seeing you!
woohoo! Guerilla-style today, tomorrow a booth of one’s own.
celeste! will you be in chicago, too??? three question marks= i hope so.
also: i loved your _twenty fragments of a ravenous youth_ review (down to the insights on the cover). what will you review next?
elizabeth! Alas, I will not be in Chicago–maybe next year. I wish I could be there, especially since I could have seen you and Anne!
I’m glad you liked the review! I’ll be in a group discussion of James Wood’s _How Fiction Works_ in a few weeks, and perhaps will pitch some other ideas to Anne, if she’s amenable.
