I have been trying to write my own novel for years. I have so many ideas because like you said creating and imagining is the fun part, but when it comes to the actually writing process I usually chicken out at the drudgery. Do you have any suggestions? Reading other books helps to inspire me. Your new book sounds great and I can't wait to read it. Bridget McNulty candidly admits how HARD it is to write a novel, but points out (correctly!) that that difficulty is part of what makes it so enjoyable. After reading this essay and the novel excerpt, I can't wait to pick up her book.
