		<description>Great point, John.  You&#039;re absolutely right; owning an e-reader ought to be seen as a sign of loving to read--enough to spend several hundred dollars on one!  I think the survey asked that question (and I highlighted that stat) because of the publishing industry&#039;s concern that print books are being supplanted by ebooks.  At least for these 100 people, that&#039;s not the case.</description>

		<description>Yes, this is encouraging news about our supposedly dying love for reading.  But  that 90% said they don&#039;t own a Kindle isn&#039;t necessarily something to trumpet.  Arguably, people get Kindles because they&#039;re love for reading is so strong.  I&#039;ll probably get one myself--as soon as I can afford it.</description>
