		<description>Such a wonderful book &#039;Waterland&#039; is....And if memory serves, I read parts of it while riding the Light Rail (public transit).  I can judge a book by how many times I failed to get off at the correct stop while reading it.

I missed my stop at least twice reading &#039;Waterland,&#039; but the all-time champion in this regards was Anne Fadiman&#039;s &#039;The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down&#039;.  Of the first, I completely believed it could happen, and of the latter, I&#039;d find it hard to believe it didn&#039;t happen exactly as described.</description>
