Nashville Review Spring 2010

NR1This spring The Nashville Review will release its inaugural issue. The journal is supported by Vanderbilt University and will be published triquarterly. Though the list of work included in this first issue hasn’t been released yet, we were pleased to see some FWR favorites as Contributing Editors: Kevin Wilson, whose collection Tunneling to the Center of the Earth was one of our 2009 favorites; Salvatore Scibona, author of The End, whose interview with contributor Michael Hinken we published in March of 2009; and Patrick O’Keefe, author of the The Hill Road, which won the story prize in 2006.

The journal is currently seeking work for future issues. The next reading period closes March 1. From the Editors:

Nashville Review publishes the best in literary fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and comics. Both distinguished and emerging writers are encouraged to submit. Nashville Review also publishes lyrics and audio and audio by up-and-coming musicians.

Contributors are offered up to $100.

Nashville Review has three reading periods: January 1 – March 1, May 1 – July 1, and September 1 – November 1.  Work submitted outside of these reading periods cannot be considered.

Please include a cover letter in the body of your email when submitting.  The subject heading should include your name and the title of your submission.  All submissions must be previously unpublished (in print or electronic form). Simultaneous submissions are encouraged.

For more details, here are the complete submission guidelines.
