A little over a week ago, we announced that the Fiction Writers Review Facebook Page was closing in on the 1,000 Fan Milestone.
First and foremost, we’d like to thank you for your support. The response to our weekly Book of the Week giveaway has been excellent. Not only are we thrilled to have the opportunity to publicize books we love, and to put them in the hands of our readers, but it’s also been great to have so many of you–writers, editors, publishers, booksellers, agents, and fellow readers–come together to help us spread the word. After all, the more fans we have the more attention we can give these deserving titles, as well as the authors who bring the work to life.
In the wee hours of the morning, just after midnight Eastern Standard Time, Fiction Writers Review made its 1,000th Facebook connection. To commemorate the event, we have randomly selected one friend from our database to receive an FWR T-shirt of their choosing and a coffee mug from our Café Press Store. We’re pleased to announce Jordan-Alicia Machado as our winner of the1,000th Fan Drawing. Congratulations!
Big thanks to each of you for being a fan and helping us grow. We’re excited to continue expanding this community not only as a way to give away more free books, or to introduce readers to great new writing, or to keep our fans up to date with what’s happening in the literary world, but also to begin developing content exclusive to our Facebook page. Additionally, we’ll be creating future opportunities for readers to connect directly with their favorite authors. It’s all in the service of the books we love and the creative processes that create them, as well as to continue fostering a dialogue about the craft of writing and the literary life. Thanks for being a part of the conversation.
