Stories We Love: “Rock Springs,” by Richard Ford

Perhaps no story, though, plays back through my head more often than Richard Ford’s “Rock Springs.”
Drew Perry lives in North Carolina with his wife, a dog, two cats, and, somehow, two boys. He teaches writing at Elon University. His first novel, This Is Just Exactly Like You, was a finalist for the Flaherty-Dunnan prize from the Center for Fiction, a Best-of-the-Year pick from The Atlanta Journal Constitution, and a SIBA Okra pick. His new novel, Kids These Days, was published by Algonquin in January of 2014.
